I went thru the registry and remove anything associated with Homer -- and it still wanted to sync.
This user is the CFO of the company and I just find it comical that he is so paranoid he'll loose everything or something will go wrong.
When the user does switch from hard wire to wireless he...
Thanks for the recommendation Tony
To through a wrench into everything..the user came from another branch (and another domain)where he was being synced to a drive call Homer. As the user that move from that office were migrated a year ago -- the guy refused to be migrated so he worked off the...
I have a laptop user who wants the freedom to move around the office so he always connect to the network via wireless. He has Excellent to Good connection.
90% of the time he stays in his office. Twice now he has lost our share drive and I have had to disconnect that drive, reboot and let his...
It does sound like that however I am able to remote into servers at that domain.
We have VPN and Trust with that domain
I do not see anything in the event viewer that stands out and would be associated with this.
I have a developer that has a url that has been working fine.
Users access it via window authentication to validate users from other domains.
I have a trust built with this particular domain however when we test the login it fails with the error "No authority could be contacted for...
jveldh - thanks for the recommendation
58sniper - the answer to your question is no.
SteveRoadWarrior - In no way would you be insulting my intelligence. I am a one man team - with alot of responsibilities. Because of this I must fix one issue and on to another quickly -- so I am not an...
I get a page cannot be displayed
I have a theory -- I have a VPN from my iste where the web server is and where the intranet is located, this VPN is routed to the remote site with a DC and their domain matching this one. I think that the VPN configuration that is for 10.x.x.x is good -- but...
Thanks Scott
The guest is on the network in respects that they can access the internet however they have to authenticate to access servers or anything else on the network.
Which is what I figured that because it's within the IP subnet it has jthat access - our concern was they also have...
Can someone explain to me how a system non on our domain can plug in a cable in the office and access the internet?
I have seen this for years but do not understand how this happens without that guest getting access to our network
Thanks
I had a user experience an odd issue today.
He received a bunch of emails at one time however these emails should have been delivered between the prior two hours. Only this user experience the problem that I am aware of. We have Exchange 2003
Any thoughts?
I set up an intranet on our domain - every works fine. But our office in another city cannot access it.
They are the same domain, VPN configuration good but different subnet.
Is there a way to make it work?
Thanks
There is an option to Test Connection - both on the desktop software and within the Treo --- it tested successfully.
I finally was able to get it to work however - it turned out that I had to perform a couple of upgrades to the Treo itself. Once that was completed the Treo worked fine.
Thanks...
How do I disable Realtime.exe from a system?
I did some research and only get what it is used for and/or the location in the registry however I do not want to delete that unless there is no other way to disable it.
Thanks for any feedback
Thanks
Furtunally - when I first migrated this user to my domain, I saved a copy of her .pst from when she moved from a POP account to my exchange box.
If she can't find that email there I think she is out of luck.
Thanks for your reply
Is it possible to retrieve a very old deleted email from the MDBDATA logs or other logs on the exchange server
(2003)?
Or is there any other way to retrieve deleted email besides the Recover Deleted email feature?
Thanks
I have our developer who is creating a new intranet for our company. I have set up external websites for him but do not know how to make his intranet public to our office and/or if he will want it accessed from the internet via user authenication.
Any recommendations?
I would love to reload it - but it took me over a year to get this bean counter to let me migrate to the new domain...
I know he wil not give it up for a reload unless it's really giving him problems. Like I said - when he is connected to the LAN hard wire and wireless - the laptop boots up...
Thanks everyone for your input
Having the user login as local user really isn't ideal.
I prefer users to log into their systems under the domain even if it is cached. These executives save too much work on their desktops already that if the system crashed we wouldn't be able to retrieve the...
