Wondered if anyone can help me?
We have a PIX 515 with all our websites behind it (inside), once it went into place we couldn't gain access to them from the inside. Added routes and also the ip addresses to the host file. All now works but im not sure if this is the best way to do it.

I didn't realise there was a patch for Code Red 2. Does anyone have the link for it off hand?????
I thought Code Red 2 came in through the same way as Code Red 1.

I installed the code red worm patch from microsoft last week on all our desktops and servers. Yesterday we got hit by the virus. After checking the servers we discovered that the patch was not on some of the machines. Has anyone else suffered from this or have any idea why???

Thats what I am in the process of doing at the moment, is the format like this???:
alias (inside) <ip address of dns server> <inside interface address>
Does this sound right or am I going about it all wrong??

Our PIX Firewall had a trial run over the weekend and everything seems to be superb, apart from one problem, DNS!!! If we key in a IP address it goes to the site, if we typw in the DNS name, it doesn't like it at all.

First thing this morning I cleared the arp's. Plugged the cable in, everything seemed great. Ten minutes later, everything starts going slow once again and the activity on the card is really high once again.

No I don't think so. This is my first time using any cisco equipment so I'm not totally sure how you do that. Is that likely to resolve the problem??? How do I do it??

I have a PIX 515 which is installed in a test area to be configured. All is well apart from one major issue.
The outside is connected to the rest of our network, the inside is a standalone PC. As soon as we connect the outside cable to the rest of the network our network is full of traffic...
