Rockwell Modem installation problem
No, still doesn't work. I still get a curious error message when I click on properties in the device manager for modem. It's slightly different than I stated before: "Error: Cannot read port name for registry" I don't know what the problem is, unless the modem is no longer working...- ScottJackson

Thanks for giving it a shot, but that did not work. I'm thinking I may have damaged the modem in some way. Any ideas on making a Lucent WinModem work with Winfax 4.0? Thanks again.- ScottJackson

I'm having a problem with an installation. I can't get my computer to detect my modem. When I go to system in the control panel and check the properties of the modem, a window pops up and says 'Error, Cannot read port registry'. Is this the cause of my problem?
