I'm trying to make some annotations over a screen capture and am finding Fireworks awkward to use.
Currently I'm creating callout boxes by merging arrows with text boxes... is there a more elegant way of doing this?

Thanks Keith. Right now I'm looking at using two shades for each of the 5 or 6 colours we use. One shade in your basic blue/green/red/etc, another shade more iridescent.
I'm working on a web application where we want to display a large number of lines (about 12) on a graph with unique colors to differentiate them. Once you get through the basic red-green-blue-orange-yellow it starts to get funky.
The other variable is the background colour.
