Hello all, for a quick background on this topic, please reference: thread767-932366
After reading that thread, please proceed to my new question. Quick update: I am now using Crystal XI. There is a report format my company uses that also lists audit dates and scores from the previous two...
I've been playing around a bit more to see if anything is affecting this. I did have a formula to prevent an orphaned header. Here is some information from it:
Group Header #3a (Suppressed) - Contains a formula called SuppressFirstRecord, which is as follows:
WhilePrintingRecords;
numberVar...
Thanks for the response Ian.
Yes, I have tried that one as well. I also tried a formula where if the string length was less than 2,000 it would keep the object together. The vast majority of these observations/recommendations will be less than 2,000. So I'm kind of stumped. Not sure if...
Hey everyone - I'm using CR XI connecting via an ODBC(RDO) to an Access database. The report I have pulls observations and recommendations (both memo fields) from their respective Observation ID (number) and puts them into one paragraph. Let me clarify, one paragraph per Observation ID...
Things are still working well, but I was looking to see what may be the best way to bold "Improvement Needed: ", "Serious: ", and "Unsatisfactory: " in the @display formula (just to signify headings basically). Thanks again for the help.
Thanks again.
When trying to preview I am currently getting the error message: 'String length is less than 0 or not an integer'.
I have the formulas as you stated. Something else I may need to do or other information you need?
Thanks
-Chris
Thanks for the response. Would it be possible to do this without the cross-tab? In addition, there are other scores associated with this that I don't need to be processed. They would be 0)Comment and 1)Minor Discrepency. So I'm assuming another formula may be needed.
Hello all,
I'm using CR XI connecting via an ODBC(RDO) to an Access database. Currently, to number items in my report I have set up a Running Total Field with a summary type of count. The field to summarize is Observations.ObservationID (type of number). It evaluates based on the formula...
Our users are writing their report in a separate program. Each item is given an observation ID (Observations.ObservationID) to make it unique. In this program as well, they have a checkbox Observations.TemplateItem) that must be unchecked in order for editing of an item to take place. The...
I guess one more thing to try and help...the desired look afterwards is a table. So for item_'x', observation is put in the first column, either itemScore'x'Full or itemScore'x'None will be placed in the next column (depending on what is 'true' or 'false for the next three columns/fields), and...
Hello all. Using Crystal XI. I've got another little thing here. I have a running total that summarizes the field Observations.ObservationID. It's a count summary. It counts only those items that the Observations.TemplateItem = 0. This running total basically serves as the item number for...
Hey all,
I'm currently using Crystal XI. I have an interesting thing going on in my company. In our customer reports, there are sometimes addendums that must be filled out as well. We created these addendums in XML and made visual forms to make entering the data easier. However, when we...
Thanks for trying to help out, but unfortunately that didn't do anything. But at least nothing bad happened either! :)
If anyone thinks of anything else, I would be interested to know.
Thanks again,
Chris
Haven't tried that. I also used Opera as a browswer and I was able to open the files just fine. So there's something screwy with IE. Just wasn't sure if anyone else has had this problem.
Quick addition to that, I can save the files to my computer and open/play them just fine. It can just be an inconvenience at times not being able to just open these files without having to save them.
Thanks again,
Chris
