Not sure if this is much help but QC is a bit quirky. It does require that the Software is installed first, re-booted then connect camera!

ME is FAT32 and XP is NTFS. Won't the drive letter show in ME Explorer though even if the USB drive is NTFS? If it doesn't then that must be the problem?

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't get any drivers with the drive as it was just an empty case into which I fitted a new hard drive. The hard drive is formatted and has data on it and works fine on my 2000/XP PC.

When I connect a USB 2.0 hard drive to a PC running Windows ME, the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" Icon appears in the systray but I cannot see the drive in Windows Explorer. Any clues?

Used Netmon to monitor and display file system activity and found that when Oulook tried to access NTDLL.DLL access was denied. I think this may be the problem but being a new user of XP I'm not sure how to check permissions in the System 32 directory. Could this be the problem and how do you...

Have just installed succesfully Outlook 2003 on another machine with no problems!

As far as I remember, when you make a bootable medium you select bootable cd. It asks where the files are stored to which you just point it to drive A: which contains you original boot disc. I found 2002 didn't work on NTFS drives! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response. Outlook XP is installed on the 2K partition and runs reasonably OK! Outlook 2003 is installed on the XP partition which gives the error when it is run and is preventing me from setting it up.
