How do you all handle major PC Deployments? You know, end of year funds were used to buy 200 new desktops, they just came in and now you have to deploy them? We are using GHOST to image them with one of three different "BASE" images, but we are spending so much time loading all of the other...
I think there are some routing issues involved as some of the backups are going 2-3x faster to other servers. I was just wondering what others with similar setups were getting.
When backing up, I have varying degrees of thoughput and was wondering what you all are getting. We are using a 100MB lan and getting around 250MB per minute backup which seems slow. I am using Dell PV132T tape unit with LTO2 tapes.
I have used it before and cannot remember what program to use to set who can start and stop services. This is without giving the user admin privliges to the server.
Thanks in advance.

What is correct?
Default Domain policy gives user1, user2 log on as a service right.
OU1 has policy giving user3 and user4 log on as a service right.
Which users would be able to log in as a service on a server in the OU1 OU. There is not blocking and no override anywhere.
I'm having a strange problem I think is AD/policy related. I have all Win2K servers with latest service packs. The services that are using user accounts to start seem to lose their rights to log on as a service after some period of time (between reboots). So I have to reenter the same...
I have had similar problems when I have had a slow link between the terminal server and my location. Might be something to check to see if the connection is dropping occasionally. Good luck.
