Right click in the middle of the screen and call the display window by clicking 'properties', tell me what you see under 'display'..
1.Windows 98 is old, XP will work better.
2.Go to the site of the company that produced the card, download and install the latest win 98 driver.
3.Restart and see...

I turned on my machine and i got a blue screen.
I turned it OFF and ON and the computer paused while running the BIOS, there was no spin and the HD light was on, i went to the BIOS and the HD was erased from the list, no detection - it didn't work after testing it on a different machine...
