A friend had asked me to format their drive and reinstall windows, and they did not possess the restore disc. Upon formatting it and isntalling windows I foud out that the backup is stored on a recovery partition which I could no longer access. I also discovered afterwards that compaq does not...

I tried re-enabling the array in the bios to no avail...It recognizes the array, but it detects one drive or the other as being disconnected or failed.
