Hi, I've recently test drove MOSS 2007, decided it was more than I needed and am about to move on. However, I do have a site that I have developed on MOSS 2007 that I would like to transfer to my WSS 3.0 server to keep it up and running.
I assumed that this would be as simple as creating a...
Hi, I'd like to have the following happen on a website I'm currently working on (: As a user visits the site for the first time, their windows username and e-mail are automatically populated from the respective AD fields. Would someone be able to help me out with this?
Thanks,
Jason
Sorry, just joking around. It really didn't matter what specific ASP platform it was developed on; my only requirements were windows authentication, relative simplicity and open source.
My apologies for any confusion.
Sharepoint is more than I want to get into at this point, and CommunityServer is also a little more than I need and a little more expensive than what I'm looking for as well.
What I did find was Web Wiz Forums (http://www.webwizguide.com). It was exactly what I was looking for.
Hi all,
I'm looking for an ASP based forum (preferably open-source)that will allow me to integrate with my AD to authenticate and identify internal users. I require just simple forum functionality, nothing fancy aside from the AD integration. Any ideas from out there?
Thanks,
Jason
I'm hoping to establish a simple forum/bb on our intranet and I was hoping to have users automatically authenticated. Can anyone point me in the direction of discussion forum/bulletin board software that is built to use AD-integrated authentication?
Thanks,
Jason

I have WSS 3.0 running on a Win2K3SP1+SQL200Sp4 server that used to host SPS2003. When we removed SPS2003, the add/remove programs method failed with a fatal error, so I had to do the uninstall manually according to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830326. The only leftovers (other than still...
OL2K3 on Exch2K3:
We've had a recent event that has made me doubt Outlook's Bcc field. My interpretation was (and still is, I suppose) that anyone in the Bcc field would not see any details about anyone else the message has been sent to.
However, in a recent message (421 Bcc recipients, all...
Hi,
I have a number of clients (150) running OL2003 on XP connecting to an Exchange 2003 server using RPC over HTTP. In the last little while (couple days), clients have been more frequently being prompted to enter their username and password when they start Outlook. I had originally assumed...

Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone out there is forcing Outlook 2K3 clients on their domain/forest to use RPC over HTTP to talk to Exchange. Basically, I have about 130 users that I'd like to switch from TCP/IP to HTTP with as little user interaction and administrative effort as possible. Is...
I'm thinking that my problem may be communciation between my exchange box and the two DCs/GC server. I read somewhere that I should be able to telnet to the GC on port 6004, and I can't do that. I understand that there may be a registry entry that needs to be changed, but any instructions on...
