Hi,
We are running a Windows 2000 Terminal server, and every day at about 4 oclock it seems we are unable to connect to our Terminal Server using Remote Desktop. There are numerous events in the event log saying "Attempt to send a message to a disconnected communications port" with Event ID 55...
Hi,
We have a Windows 2000 Terminal Server, which keeps having problems with the spooler service. When I log on, the server is very slow, and the spoolersv.exe is at the top of the CPU usage list. Then, the spooler service stops and I loose all my printers. I have set the spooler service to...

In Outlook, when you type someones name into the 'To' box, Outlook will suggest the name (if you have emailed this address before, or they are in your address book). However, if you remove the person from your address book, it still suggests their name (and Outlook knows this, because it says...

We are having a little problem with Exchange Server 2000 on Windows Server 2000 where the sotre is nearing the 16GB limit. We have got all users to delete all unwanted emails, and even copied some to PST files. We then set a mailbox limit to 100mb per person. If you go through the list of...
I have found a common problem on most Windows XP machines, where I cannot connect on a Microsoft VPN (error 721) to a Windows 2000 / 2003 server. However, on the same network with the same gateway, I can connect using a Windows 2000 machine. And the REALLY weird thing is, if I firstly connect...
Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi,
We are having trouble with our Out Of Office reply not working. If you set the assistant to "out of the office", and set a message, it won't reply internally or externally. This is a new server, running SBS 2003. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled on Exchange?
Thanks,
Dan...
What it was is a problem in Outlook. You have to change the email to Rich text or Plain Text for it to print the attachment placeholder.

Hi,

Hi,
Does anyone know how to make a Windows XP workstation only allow one specific active directory user log on to it? I'm sure it's possible, but just can't remember how it's done! Doh! :p

We've fixed it! We run a defrag on the Exchange Information store, which almost HALVED the size of the database, and it now seems to work! Yay!
Thanks for all your help people!

That's what I thought. But during install it asked me to create a user and password, which works to logon, but when you want to change any system settings it asks for the root password, which I was never asked to put in. This is RedHat Linux 9.1
Any ideas?
