Can anyone recommend a tool to use on a OS X that can attempt to recovery a deleted file and give the date/time that the file was deleted? I've used data rescue II before, but I do not believe it gives me the time. I am using that time to compare who had access to the room (logged card access)...
I don't appear to be on any blacklist. My DNS servers show up on that website.
I have tried using the IP to test the connection. It times out just as using the domain name.
I stopped all Exchange related services to see if that was causing the connection issues, but still not able to connect to the server. What else could be causing all the sites to timeout?
I'm at a total loss on this. Been trying to fix it for days with no results. I have a Windows 2000 SP4 Server that runs Web, FTP, and Exchange services. Everything was great till last Friday. No inbound connections work. I get no emails, my sites from external connections time out, and I can't...
My Support Director has tasked me with finding a replacement ACD system for our campus Help Desk. Currently we have a Viking ACD-10 which has support for 6 lines.
We are looking for a system that support 10 lines, has caller id, allow agents to sign in anywhere on campus, and allows for us to...
Thank you for all the valuable information. I'll be sure to separate my Exchange Server from the domain controller.
But the current DC, I would like to totally wipe and reload it once I get the new server up. What would be the best method for me to protect my Exchange data until I get the...
Yea I thought about just totally rebuilding from scratch, but I really would like to learn how to do it the proper way too. So if possible I want to transfer the domain onto the new server and then take the old one down and rebuild the software aspect of it.
Why should exchange be on a...
I currently have 1 Windows 2000 server that runs AD, Exchange, Antivirus, and acts as the fileserver. I want to move the AD, and Exchange off to a new more robust server and keep the third-party apps and fileserver on the current server after a fresh install of it. How can I move my current AD...
Yea I think the included D-Link driver is flawed. I switched out the NIC for an SMC NIC and loaded the drivers from a floppy. That seemed to solve the problem and I was able to get into the GUI Netware Installation part.
Thanks for the help!
I am trying to learn Netware on my own so I can better understand the OS since we use it at my workplace. But I have had no success installing it at all. I can not get pass the DOS portion of the install. I have an old Gateway Essential PC with a PIII 850 and 512MB of memory. The...
I'll take a look at that unattended install cd, but from glancing over parts of it, it will take me a while to get set up. Looks complicated...
Thanks for the help!
Right when we purchase new PCs we try to get similar to what we already have. But do have some odd ball older ones that we would like to use the same Ghost image for rather than having to manually install Windows and the apps. But if the hardware is much older than what we created the image...
I work at a dental school where we have over 400 computers to manage. We currently have ghost images for each type of computer for example Dell GX270's and Gateway E-4100's. Is it possible to create a working universal ghost image for any PC without too many issues. I know you can use SysPrep...
Thanks for the opinions. I'm going to test it out today and if it doesn't appear to cause any major system slowdowns, then we are going to impliment it.
Again thanks for the help!

The school I work for has a small 10 computers lab that I need to set up. We were going to use local policies to lock the PC down as much as possible so that the students do not make any major changes to the PC forcing us to have to reimage it. These PC's will not be on a domain.
Then I...
