Recover data
well I just got home from a nice vacation..and suprise suprise it must be enctrypted. There must be a way to get the data back. I can see all the other users files just not the owner (came programed on the computer from HP) anyone know how I can get this data back? Im desperate- kassper

Yes, both are windows XP. One is home the other is pro. The one that died is home, but I will try that. Hopefully it works. The thing was I could see all files except for the one admin user folder on the dead OS's drive.- kassper

Well I tried to install an sp2 beta from MS website and my computer bombed. I can access all the data by installing the drive as a slave on my other computer but I cannot access files in my user folder because it is the default on the computer. It has much information that is valuable to me...- kassper
