Hi,
I've installed Exchange 2003 on a Windows Server 2003. After installation, I realised that I had some problems with the Smtp service that I didn't have on my other Exchange 2003 service - it was disabled by default.
After enabling it and starting it, everything was fine until I rebooted my...
Thanks Mike - that did it!
The users actually became administrators using the "Users and Passwords"-icon in the control panel. Using the runas-command (runas /USER:"computername"\Administrator mmc) does not make users administrators (strange enough).
The only problem is that...
Thanks CE,
The dynamic IP addresses aren´t in the same range as the public addresses.
Yes, the snd NIC in the fileserver has a static, public IP.
IP-forwarding is "checked" on the fileserver. If I put a cable in the switch (connected to the router to the Internet) I am able to...
Thanks for your time Steven.
I haven´t got a clue to why, but the exception is now thrown using the original code. Maybe it was a problem with the ResourceBundle or something.
Strange... (needless to say)
We´ve got a Win2000 Server as a proxy and a NT4 Server as a fileserver and DC. The proxy supplies the computers on the local net with IP-addresses.
All machines using DHCP can browse the network, seeing other DHCP-machines, but we also uses some static (public) IP-addresses, that also needs...
When I upgraded a machine with an Asus A7V from NT4 to W2k Pro, the CD stopped working. The upgrade started alright, but after reboot, when Windows needed to copy files from the CD, it didn´t find the drive.
It turned out that the bios needed an upgrade to be able to cope with a harddisk and a...
Thanks for the answer... We can´t solve it that way, since the users aren´t normally supposed to have full access to their own machine - the machines contains databases with confidential information.
In some cases, I´ve used WinVNC to log on as administrator via the net, but the since the users...
This is probably an easy one :)
I´ve got some problems with a few nested try-catch statements. The problem is that the second catch-statement is never reached, even if an exception occurs when I´m trying to use an invalid resource-key.
I need to use the ResourceBundle to form a user-friendly...
I´ve had the same problem with D-Link cards at work. It turned out to be a incompatible with an Asus motherboard. When I removed it from the computer with the Asus-board, moving it to another board, it worked perfectly.
The same problem appears with the D-Link card on three different computers...
I´ve created an image-file with Ghost of Windows 2000 Pro. The target for the Ghost-file was about 40 computers with the same configuration. Before the image was created, I used Sysprep to make it possible to get different SIDs and all.
The installation worked fine and the computers were...
