I am able to explore the cd fine. I think I found out that the problem is the cd and its drivers are made for Windows XP whereas I have Windows XP-64 bit. I googled my problem and found a site with people who linked to drivers that worked for me. So I guess the problem is solved... hopefully...
Yeah I might be putting this in the wrong category but anyway here it goes. I put the CD in the computer and autoplay tries to start and it pops up an error saying cannot execute kernel mode driver service. My motherboard is an Asus K8V. I've tried opening the CD and installing the drivers...
I'm not sure what the problem was. I did what you said and unplugged some wires and the computer was working fine so I plugged in some new data wires and now it's up and running. Thanks for the help.
I just built my computer and I guess my problem is that when I turn on my computer it will shut off about a second later. I was worried it was my cpu but when I disconnected my DVD burner the computer started and went to the motherboard setup screen. Here are my specs:
