corrupt system registry hive
can you start it in safe mode? i have seen similar problems when the user profiles become damaged.. managed to boot the last one in to safe mode and run the SFC to check all the files... then it booted fine...- justdanuk

HELP!! User e-mail disappearing.
have you considered dumping the DBX files? if you have a damaged inbox.dbx it can cause this problem amongst others... Peace- justdanuk
