    DS8k connections to a LUN

Hi Guys Given a particular LUN on DS8100, how do I tell from the GUI which hosts are connected to the LUN? Conversely, given a particular host, how can I tell which LUNs it is connected to? Or is there a CLI command that will list this info quicker. Many thanks

Replacing a bunch of 36 GB disks on DS4000

Hi gatetec, You can replace the 36Gb disks with 146gb disks but you would need to ensure that you have a 146gb disk as the spare in the array. As victorv says above, replace one disk at a time. Hth

    Inaccessible LUNs DS8100

Thanks very much p5wizard It turns out that the LUNs had been depresented from some clients and represented to new ones so there was a mixup somewhere with the LUN ids. Since there was no data on them, I deleted and recreated the LUNs and it is all ok now. Cheers

SAN disk on Windows 2003 server

Hi jadams007 This is part of the DS4000 utilities (in the Util directory) so you have to install it. However, in our case, we were having problems so we took everything off, re-installed qlogic drivers and then RDAC and this seemed to have picked up the disks so we do not need the hot add...

    Wrong AIX release level showing

Hi I upgraded aix 5.3.0.2 to 5.3.0.5 yesterday using a aix 5.3 update CD and selected "install_latest". The install completed ok and lslpp shows the 5.3.0.5 filesets. However, oslevel -r still shows 5.3.0.2. What did I do wrong or how can I get this to show the correct technology level? Thanks
