Thanks for your response but it did not help. I tried it with an out of the box sample and it did not work either. I may have to use the example in the help file which shows how to create a running total using variables. Atleast I can then default the variable to zero.

I have some old reports from Crystal 7 that use running totals which only evaluate when a particular condition is true. If this condition was never met they defaulted to zero which was perfect for what I wanted.

I have some running totals in a report that display blank when their value is zero. I have checked formatting on the field and it not suppressed if zero.
I also have a formula which adds these totals and if even one running total is blank, then the formula displays blank.
