Thanks for the post herrslime. I found that her had several aliases in his mailing list different from the individual records. i.e. he had a James Welder as an alias for an individual record and then typed in Jim welder in the group list. Of course Eudora has to have the exact alias in ourder to...
I have a client running XP Pro and Eudora 5. He is the only client on the network that has the problem. When he sends an e-mail to a group it doesn't get to the recipients. If he sends individual e-mails it works. Anyy suggestions?
Just a though. You say that BIOS is set up correctly. It might be worth checking that you do have the HDD listed as a boot device. If the CD is the only one in the list...
Again, just a though but worth double checking.
You don't have to have a DC in the country - BUT - the purpose of having sites (within a domain) is to control replication traffic over a wide area. It allows you to set replication schedules, bridgehead servers, etc. If all your DCs are on your local network then the only advantage you will...
If that doesn't work you can temporarily add the user you can log in with to the administrators group, clear the log and then remove them from the group.
Reboot so the most recent security applies to the user.
Found the following post from user RJPBSS in another forum. The discussion was on XP mapped drives that keep disconnecting and then seem to not be able to reconnect without rebooting or disconnecting and remapping.
Check this article out. I had the same problem and setting autodisconnect to...
I agree brain. The first step is to take ownership. If you are not the owner - it doesn't matter what rights you think you are assigning. Good post and reminder for us all.

If you have a long lease time on your addresses you might need to do an...
Thanks everyone for your input. I know it takes time to do it. Glenn, as with most other forums I read with your input, your's has been most helpful here. I got interrupted when scanning the logs and missed that one thing in common seems to be inability to authenticate certai prosesses with AD...
Sorry,
Go to the DHCP snap in - rt click - go to properties - the dns tab - check the box to "automatically update DCHP client information in DNS" and any othe options you want.
I am running a network with two win2k server running DHCP. I only have 25 computers on my network so this is for fault tolerance.
DHCP1 has a scope of 10.10.10.15-98
DHCP2 has a scope of 10.10.10.103-250
My lease length is 10 days. The scope and server options on both servers are identical.
All...
I have a network with 20 XP Pro machines - SP1. They are running Office 2002 - SP3. I have all the MS updates and Offices updates. The following problem only happens on 3 machines.
Users that use Word and Excel find that the apps load very slowly and sometimes stop responding. Opening...
Microsoft questions are much trickiery than the A+ type tests. If you can get used to the microsoft style of questions (long and convoluted with a trap in the middle) then you should fare well. I found testking to be very helpful and exactly the microsoft style. It is well worth the $.
