Hi,
simply rename the file "folders" to folders.old" and restart BM. It should re-create ALL folders in file "folders" automatically.
Maybe it is read-only so u would have to adjust the access rights 1st.

I never used xinit directly to start X. U should use "startx" to start X instead but there seems to be a general (keyboard) problem which I never saw before....And startx will use xinit, too, so this might not be the solution. Sorry!

thx a lot - very interesting, the iostat tip is good and logical, of course - only the written data has to be synced identically. So in that configuration - if u had different cache sizes u should always put it to a lower scsi address than the mirror disk to ensure higher reading...
