Try this: (this is win 7 based)
Assuming you have the sound icon in your tasktray....
. right click it
. choose 'sounds'
. in the sounds windown choose tab 'communications'
. choose 'do nothing'

I'm wondering...
Can Call Manager (and or IPCC) detect that the connection to an IP Communicator was lost on a live call, and does it have a means to recover that call?
Send it to an attendant, requeue in case of call center usage, etc....
