I need to customize the portal that is available from Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 which is an add in for MOSS 07. The problem I'm having is I can't figure out where the data is coming from. The BDP documentation tells me there should be a BDC that I can modify to tell it which data I want and...
It was not SP2 the first time I ran server 08's compatibility test. But after doing some research I learned sharepoint needs to be on at least SP1 in order to be compatable with 08, so I upgraded Sharepoint to SP2 prior to doing the upgrade. Currently I'm on server 08 with all of the security...
Well like I said, the whole thing is still in the testing stages, so this is really my test run. The upgrade is finished, and it went rather smoothly too. It took about an hour, and afterwards I opened up central administration, all my sites are there and functioning properly. I still need to...
Its a small site, single server configured for a farm installation, planning on adding servers as the site grows. Its still in the testing stages, so its not live. The server 08 compatibility test keeps saying I need to remove WSS 3.0. It gives KB 943605 as a reference. I followed the steps...
I'm running MOSS 07 on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 box with SQL Server 05 installed. I want to upgrade to server 08 and SQL server 08. Does anyone have any documentation and/or tips on the best way to do this without blowing up the MOSS installation?
There are no errors in the App log. Yes I can get into the Central Admin site, as well as the Shared Services site. Am I wrong in thinking that the default welcome to sharepoint site should be able to be opened at this point, without having to create my own app and site collection?
I have just recently installed MOSS 2007 Enterprise on a dedicated server in our farm. I have all the necessary admin users created in Active Directory. SQL Server 2005 is installed. Sharepoint search services is running, and Shared Services is running. The default site created on port 80 by...
I have been trying to change the default url for a sharepoint site from the //<server name>:<port #> to something a little more user friendly like //randomname.lan. I have moss 2007 installed on a windows server 2003 box with iis 6 and sql server 2005. this is the only server that sharepoint...
I work for a reseller of Aloha, and we use those terminals frequently. Every system we install we use the printer interface option and plug the rj-11 into the printer. You have a better chance of the terminal crapping out on you than the printer, from what I've seen.
I need to know how to convert jpg, gif, or bmp files into htm files to be used on the splash screen seen in Aloha Manager in the Aloha TS and QS software. I know that if you name a bmp logo.bmp and place it in the bmp folder that file will be the floating log on the front of house terminals...
The only way to fix this problem is to replace the touch screen. A quick fix for the servers in the restaurant is to use two fingers on either side of the done or exit buttons. This will usually trick the screen into thinking that button was actually pushed.
