    InDesign CS Files ALWAYS Open Read Only!

    Solution found! Thanks to some help from the Adobe InDesign forum, the problem was due to Virex 7.5 installed on my computer. I removed all pieces and part of Virex, and the problem went away. All should be aware of this...especially Adobe! Thanks for the assistance from the Tek-Tips forum. Peter
