It appears you cannot control the install process using WindowsServer2003-KB340178-SP2-x86-ENU.msi. However, the adminpak.msi file on the Windows Server 2003 R2 with Service Pack 2 disk appears to be the same version of tools available in the separate Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2...
My Internal Audit department only wants the AD Tools installed on some desktop units. I thought about installing everyting and then deleting the shortcuts/target files for the components not required, but I would rather have a "clean" install if possible.
Does anyone know if you can use WindowsServer2003-KB340178-SP2-x86-ENU.msi to install a subset (e.g, AD Tools only) of the W2K3 SP2 Admin Tools? I haven't found any switches to specify what gets installed. Running with no switches installs all of the tools.
