    i try to install a ASE 11.9.2 on linux when i execute srvbuilres -r srvbuil.adaptiveserver.rs (this rs file seem to be right configured) i have this error message "Directory is not a suitable Sybase directory." Unable to open file //srvbuild0511.001. Does anyone know why? thanks

    segment

    i choose to create indexes in a specific segment which have 200Mb size. 1) when i compute the size of each indexes, i find 9411 pages (2Kb) , So near 20mb 2) so i have dump the transaction. 3) even if i drop all this indexes, the used space decreased but is near 170Mb. How can this problem...

    i have a big sql query containting mor than 16 tables when i execute this query, ihave this error message Too many table names in the query. The maximum allowable is 16. how can i solve this problem.
