I am a newcomer to flash and am having problems with flash not playing after importing to DW,grey box turns white but no flash,I am sure this is a basic question but cant find answer in a search,some pointers would be appreciated,sorry for what must be a basic question----but please!

you are in the wrong place!! that is for editing shapes and brushes etc. go to the tool box--CUSTOM SHAPE TOOL--(probably hidden under the rectangle tool)it is just to the right of the pen tool--click on this---then go to the tool bar at the very top of the screen---click on the shape...

I dont think I worded my answer very well-----to put it another way-----left click on the shape required in the custom shape pallette to select it.then go to your canvas and click and drag untill the shape is the correct size

left click on required shape,then left click and drag on canvas till you get the size you want(unless I have not understood your question LOL)

Just started with MX (as you have probably guessed) done a search but cant find simple way to remove unused layout cells,any help please,i would rather not mess with code at this point in time unless I have too.

This is the very first time I have visited this forum (new DW user)and the 4 year old post was EXACTLY what i Needed so thanks a lot,hope that if I have a question it can be answered a little more promptly lol
