I've got a website that views fine in any browser on PC, and in Safari on MacOSX 10.3.3.
However, in Mac IE 5.2.3 is a very different story that can only be attributed to the CSS code.
The page in question is actually my blog: http://www.eicherdesign.com/blog
Is this a common problem, or...
Here's what I do, with much success...
create a mask on your tree layer. click off the new mask and back onto your tree layer. select all. copy. Option-click onto your new mask. paste. invert. Command-L to open layers. Now adjust your layers to get rid of the midtones. It really will work well...
Learning HTML really isn't as hard as you may think. Even us "creative types" can pick it up very easily. I taught myself (mostly by looking at other people's code) and now I consider myself fluent in HTML/CSS and pretty darn good with JavaScript.
Good luck. You'll find that once you know HTML...
Yep, PNG-8 is just like a GIF when it comes to transparency.
And barehug is correct, if you File\Save for Web... then you can select PNG-8/PNG-24/GIF/JPEG/WBMP and choose the transparency option or not. You can also optomize the file in this dialog box.
Good luck.

Yes, runaround is off. It's the white of the image background, not the picture box background.

Good feedback, thanks. I'll play around more with how the gradient is made.

I went to Pratt for Design and was trained in the world of Macs. I worked for several years at different companies after school - all on Macs. I then got a job at a company that was entirely PC based (a fact that I did not know until my first day of work!). I stayed at that company for two years...
Are you printing with seperations turned on? That is the only time I see the color bars with registration marks. Normally, with seperations unchecked, you get your filename/date, corner crops and center crops, no color bars.
First, I am sorry for the double-post. I posted this in Apple/Mac OS forum before I knew this one existed...
Hi all,
This is really bugging me. It seems like there is a simple solution that I am missing due to overthinking/overcomplicating this issue, so hopefully your fresh sets of eyeballs...
Nothing too scary. Just Quark 6.1 won't run under Panther and Suitcase X1 tends to randomly delete font files and Photoshop CS crashes when using certain filters. Good luck!
(just kidding!)
Do a quick test. Put your cursor after the point the apostrophe should be. Hit backspace. Now type a new apostrophe and print. See if that apostrophe is there or not.
Sometimes when you import text from Word or other programs into Quark you get postscripting problems like that.
Hi all,

I have a grayscale tiff file. It is basically a gray blob (drop shadow)...
