When I press 9, it shows "Calling 255" on the phone and then I get the "Not in service" message on the phone and a busy signal. Sorry, I thought it was calling the fax machine since that is set to mailbox 255, but now that I took a look at the Enabled physical lines, I don't think it's doing...

I took a look at this. All the lines in the "Enable physical lines" are pointing to Pool A. The code assigned to the line pool A is 9.

it's running version 3.6. I browse the system to work on it through I.E. I also noticed that our last line (Line 7) does not work anymore. I'm not sure if the two issues are related.
