VID6.0 cannot open project: no web exists
My VID6.0 (Win98SE, PWS) will not open a certain project, altho it will open others. The error is server error: that web does not exist. Of course, all the files are in fact there! They show both in the Project window itself, as well as Windows Explorer. I cannot duplicate the problem with...- tropicalweb

Connect to PWS
On your development machine, look in Control Panel under Networking/Identification, and give your machine a name. This name will turn up later in the servername section of VID.- tropicalweb

DERuntime Error
I had the same problem, solved the same way by getting VID Server Components installed on the server. Also, in addition to getting VID Server Components on the server, be sure to download and install service pack 4 for VID 6.0, which is said to correct some VID bugs vis-a-vis IIS 5.0.
