Using PM7 for tab newspaper layout. Have been advised toswitch to InDesign since PM being 'phased out' - true? Has anyone out there been happy after switching? Problems? Thanks for your input.

After completing 50 page tab newspaper, with graphics and text, could not complete Save prior to making PDF. Simply stuck there with printer waiting. Finally made new document and transferred everything. What happened?

Thanks for reply. After checking extensions, have fixed (?) the problem, whatever caused it. Yes, it's a Mac and we use both types of fonts - PS and TT. making PDFs by making PS file first... for now, all is solved re the bad b/box, but there is another problem on another computer. Made 50 page...

Is Pagemaker really on its last legs? Using 7 on a Mac and have been told that Mac OSX isn't friendly to Pagemaker and should switch to InDesign - basically doing page layout and ad design. Hate InDesign, having become a PM junkie - what to do, what to do?

After converting Pagemaker to PDF - get message "AHHPDI+Verdana contains a bad/BBox -- also same message preceeded by strange set of letters on other fonts always routinely used (gill Sans, Commercial Script, Comic Sans, Charcoal, etc.) what's up??

RSRC for PM 7 - vanished 2/14/03 at 10?46 - don't know how or why but can't open any PM file now. Do I need to reinstall software or can I just install that part of it? What does it stand for, anyway???
