    mounting windows on Linux for non-root user

    For #1, the options you need to use are uid= and gid= to specify what ownership would look like under linux, the fmask and dmask options are useful too.

    My XP boot grub entry looks like this title WinXP root (hd0,1) makeactive chainloader +1 I don't remember the reason for hd0,1 , I think it has something to do with the recovery partition

    The log cycling and permissions setting is in /usr/lib/newsyslog script, just change it as desired.

    Netfinity 4000r USB port problem

    I can't get the USB ports to work under either Windows2000 or Linux, it seems to be disabled but I've gone thru the BIOS setup screen a couple of times and couldn't find anything related to USB at all. Any suggestions?
