When I set up a paragraph style, there is a window in the set-up box called "Shortcut" which I assume is similar to the same thing in the Quark Style Sheet... but I cannot get the window to accept any keystrokes I try to put in... What am I doing wrong???
I have found if you copy from Word and paste in InDesign, when the area you are pasting into has paragraph styles already applied, the new paste-in text will take on that style
Well here's my workaround... I went back to the original Word doc, opened it, re-saved it as Word 4 for Mac... highlighted & copied it in Word and pasted it in InDesign AFTER deleting the misbehaving type completely from InDesign... NOW it takes the para styles
