    The Motherboard i am using is a AMD board, called a M7NCG 400. It is brand new, and from what i know it should support up to 2gigs of ram. There are 3 ram slots, so its hard to believe that 1 slot would only hold 384 mb? But maybe so...?

    all of those sound like good suggestions... and i would even believe them all. I had some of the same thoughts, so what i did was replace my geforce2 with an old ATI radeon 32mb card that i had... and to my surprise the error continues. So perhaps it is the monitor to video card connection...
