MX 2004 Slow Performance?
There are a couple of things you can do to speed it up. Check the Don't show again box at the bottom left of the opening page. Keep the number of fonts, plugins, and styles you load to a minimum. Don't add Live effects until you know you won't be moving objects around on the canvas anymore...- LindaRathgeber

HTML Slice problem
Open Dreamweaver and create a two column table. Export the navbar from Fireworks and import it into the left column of the table in Dreamweaver. Use the right column of the table for the text. Jagged edges on bevelled diagonal lines.
