    Linking Two Databases Together

Okay, here's the deal: We have an Excel Spreadsheet that is saved on an internal server. Our group has been requested to save a back-up copy to our respective personal hard-drives, in case the server fails. Is there any way to link the two documents so that when one is saved, the other is updated?

    Comcast Cable Internet Incompatible?

Actually, an ethernet connection worked perfectly. With the ethernet connection, I didn't have to worry about installing the driver for the usb port in order to use the Comcast service.

Alternate Function to "Match" or "Lookup"

Schat, this is the only question I've posted on this subject. I'm sure many people have had similar problems though. I also tried just putting 0 as the placement for when the statement is false. The problem is with the actual function, which returns an error when false.

Alternate Function to "Match" or "Lookup"

Here's the deal: There are three fields (E,F, &G) affected by two ranges of information, A:B and C:D. Field E is (=IF(SUM(H23:H30)+SUM(H61:H81)=0,"0"; IF((SUM(H23:H30)+SUM(H61:H81))>=8, 8,(SUM(H23:H30)+SUM(H61:H81))) Field F is (=IF(Sum(A:B+C:D)>8, (Sum of A:B+C:D)-8, "0") The formulas I have...

Linking a query to a table?

Thank you, Quest, for your input. That's a different way of doing what I've done in the form. However, where I'm trying to display the data is in the actual table, so that a person could query from the larger table on the two displayed fields (TM & LPE) for reports and the like. As the form...

Linking a query to a table?

Ok. Here's the deal. I set up two tables in my db, one to supply information to the other. Three fields in the tables are linked. They are: Engineer, LPE and TM. In the form I set up for the large database (WSR), I know that I can do a query from the smaller database (E) and have the...

    Comcast Cable Internet Incompatible?

Apparently Comcast Cable Internet was not designed to be compatible with Win2KServer. Is there anyway to bypass this, since it's compatible with Win NT and Win2K?

    Error in Parameter Calculation

I think the problem is that she has MS Access 2000, and I have XP, which I didn't figure out until after I had posted here. Thanks :)

    Error in Parameter Calculation

Here's the deal. I'm working with a rather simplified SQL Query, which queries three fields, one for a name, one for dates, and one for status of a project database. I've checked the syntax of my parameters for the query for engineer, which is simply "[Enter the last name of the...
