When I print from quark to a laser printer at a reduced size, there is no gap. When I print to pdf or print from the pdf there is a gap. I can shrink the 100% pdf in acrobat and there is no gap, so the problem must occur when the image is resized and placed while spooling.
thanks, neil
for anyone still interested, I have found this problem to only occur when the document is shrunk in the print style. This is a real problem as half the pdfs I produce need to be created at two sizes, 100% and 74%.
I had that problem, and it was because quark 6.1 needs more parts of panther installed than 6 did. Originally I did a minimal panther installation to save on space, due to the large amount of uneccessary stuff that comes with it. But had to go back and re-install parts for the upgrade to...
It was a CMYK eps, but I have since tried it as a tiff and the problem is still there. I have tried printing the image in separate document, in different picture boxes, but the gap is always there. Its actually on more boxes than I first thought too. Maybe this is a problem that occurs at pdf...

sorry thats what I meant, the bleed option doesn't exist in the Quark 6 edit/print styles, in the same way it did in 4, I can't find it any where
thanks,
Neil

When I set up my print styles there is no option to assign a certain amount of bleed, as there was in quark 4. The option arrives in the print window, but when I change it and "capture settings" it will save it for that certain document...
Hi, no biggy but one that is annoying me..
when I print PDFs through Quark 6 to an acrobat distiller, the resulting pdf in the output queue always has PRINT_ as a prefix to it. Any idea how to get rid of it so just the correct file name is produced on the pdf?
hope you can help,
thanks
neil
