    External IP Address configuration

My apologies. Was informed of the wrong IP address by our Leased line provider. Will now try this with the correct IP address.

    External IP Address configuration

Hello to everyone. I have just set up our FireboxIII for hosting a Web server. I have configured the Web server with IP address 192.168.2.2, on the Optional port of the Firewall and can see the Web pages on it from the Trusted network. We have an IP address assigned by our Leased line...

Win 2003 Server in domain with Win 2000 Servers unable to become DC

Hello Ian, I had to explain the problem to a number of people at Dell before I was given the correct information. I think I insisted that the Server 2003 was inoperational and would need to be returned as faulty if there was no fix available. I am sure if you explain that the Windows 2003...

Win 2003 Server in domain with Win 2000 Servers unable to become DC

Hello Liam, Unfortunately I didn't keep a record of the password I used. It wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft imposed a date related password so that it varied on a daily basis, just to assist end users as they normally do under the disguise of security. I'm sure your suppplier of the...

dcpromo 2003 adding as AD/DCto 2000 AD Domain

That is strange. When I tried to run the adprep from disk 2, the Windows 2000 Server complained that it wasn't a valid application - i.e. because it was 64-bit. Microsoft, Microsoft, what a pain. Pleased you have it sorted.

    Windows 2003 Server - ASP.NET

I think the 32-bit and 64-bit versions differ in their use of ASP.NET - I looked under IIS but it is not there. Thanks for your help on this Pagy. I think biglebowski has highlighted the problem. Thanks biglebowski, I didn't realise Exchange 2003 would not run on Server 2003 64-bit...

dcpromo 2003 adding as AD/DCto 2000 AD Domain

What Pagy says above is correct, the only problem being, you can not run the adprep from the second CD of 2003 R2 on a Windows 2000 Server because the adprep application is 64-bit. The existing Windows 2000 Operations Master is only 32-bit and will not be able to run a 64-bit application. I...

    Windows 2003 Server - ASP.NET

Thanks Pagy, But there is no ASP.NET service within Web Service Extensions. This is the problem, ASP.NET is not available to install within Server Roles, Application server (IIS), nor it is available to add the component through Control Panel, Add/Remove Windows Components, Application Server...

    Windows 2003 Server - ASP.NET

Thanks for this biglebowski, but the Microsoft instructions do not detail from where you can make the ASP.NET checkbox option appear. The Microsoft.NET framework is already installed and available. But there is no ASP.NET option within Application Server, as the instructions detail. I am...

    Windows 2003 Server - ASP.NET

Good Afternoon, I am trying to install Exchange 2003 onto a Windows 2003 Server R2. The Server has the Application Server role setup. In order to achieve this, I have followed Microsoft instructions to install ASP.NET. I go to Control Panel: Add or Remove Programs: Add/Remove Windows...

Win 2003 Server in domain with Win 2000 Servers unable to become DC

I have found the fix for this. Microsoft have issued a hotfix which is not publicly available. The hotfix can be obtained from the link below: http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%20Server%202003/sp2/Fix182926/3790/free/274669_ENU_i386_zip.exe However, you need a login to get it. You...

Win 2003 Server in domain with Win 2000 Servers unable to become DC

Thanks Pagy. Yes, I did try to run adprep from the 2nd CD but unfortunately adprep on this CD is a 64-bit version. It therefore does not run on a Windows 2000 32-bit Server. I have run a 32-bit version of adprep from a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition CD but as you rightly state, this does...

Win 2003 Server in domain with Win 2000 Servers unable to become DC

Hello Everyone. I been trying to resolve a problem I have with promoting a Windows 2003 R2 Member Server to become a Domain Controller within a domain which currently contains three Windows 2000 Domain Controllers running in Native Mode. I have run adprep /forestprep and adprep /domainprep...

Lookup non-ascending values in a column

Thanks Leigh, I have a list of names of lorry drivers in A2:A24, which remains static, and the round number to which they are delivering is input into C2:C24. The round numbers will obviously vary numerically from 1 to 22. Another workbook will lookup which row in C2:C24 contains, for example...

Lookup non-ascending values in a column

I have been attempting to look up a value (e.g. 4) from a column of numbers whose values are not in ascending order, in order to return a value from an adjacent column. The numbers are input into this column and can not be data sorted to be ascending. I know I can retrieve the value in the...
