    Active directory sites issue

Yes, thanks... should have mentioned that all DCs are global catalogs, all subnets are in the correct site. All DCs are DNS servers. One more thing that might help: I ping "domain.local" and my local DC responds. Then I run ipconfig /flushdns and ping "domain.local" again, and a remote DC...

    Active directory sites issue

hello. We have a main office and two branch offices. The main office has two Win2003 SP1 domain controllers and the branch offices each have one. I believe our sites, site links, and costs are set up correctly but I am not sure. When I browse the domain (Start - Run - \\domain.local)...

    NDMP option

Hello, We have just installed the Arcserve 11.1 NDMP option. We attached one of the four drives in our library directly to our NetApp filer. The filer recognizes the drive. Arcserve recognizes the drive. What we wanted to do was dedicate the one drive to the filer, while doing normal Windows...

    printing priorities

I have set up two printers for the same print device (different drivers for printing from different applications). I assigned them the same priority because I wanted jobs to print in the order that they were submitted. The problem is that jobs to Printer B will not print until the queue for...

rate-limit command, throttle bandwidth for testing

Packet dropping is OK. So, my interface is Serial1/0. Bandwidth is now 44210. Can someone help me with the command or set of commands that would rate-limit this interface to resemble a T1? Thanks.

rate-limit command, throttle bandwidth for testing

Hi, We have a DS3 connection with Cisco 3725's on both ends. We are thinking of scaling back to a T1 on each end, and I am trying to figure out if it is possible to configure the routers to throttle the bandwidth (for testing of course) to simulate a T1 before we make the switch. I know the...

Restore by session: details missing even after merge

ACK! Here's the solution, everyone. Make sure your backup system account is in all the right groups. Mine was in a test lab and I didn't have modify access to the temp folder. Case closed.

Restore by session: details missing even after merge

ah, this page talks about that key: http://supportconnectw.ca.com/premium/storage/infodocs/nt/18080.asp the key name under task is Merge. Thanks for your help, but this is more of a workaround. I'm trying to figure out why the .cat files are not being created.

Restore by session: details missing even after merge

thanks!! I'm trying that now, but can you clarify? If I create the new key DonotUseCatalogMerge under Task, it has a default value which is type REG_SZ. Are you saying to create a new Value of type REG_DWORD under the DonotUseCatalogMerge Key? or did you mean for DonotUseCatalogMerge to be...

Restore by session: details missing even after merge

clarification: it says the session has no details, NOT that it has been pruned. And the catalog database option IS enabled.

Restore by session: details missing even after merge

As I wait for a response from Computer Associates... I know this topic has been brought up before, but I can't quite get it right. I installed Arcserve 11, and the 11.1 upgrade. I can successfully run a backup, but when I attempt to resore by session, it says that the session has been pruned...
