Eva,
Wow...Thanks !!!
That was a solution for every problem/question.
Very nice of you...I appreciate it.
(sorry I was so flabergasted in my original inquiry.)
Thanks again,
mark4man
OK, Eva...
Thanks very much...we're getting somewhere now...one of the line ends is not selecting; & I think its because I flood filled the path yesterday. Wanting to see what what that basic area would look like when filled, I flood filled after selecting the path; & it filled the area with...
You know...
Illustrator has got to have the unfriendliest learning environment ever. It's really frustrating.
Here's what I want to do:
I want to draw a line with the pencil tool (say...more or less a straight line representing one side of a pyramid.)
I want to draw a 2nd line, starting...
People,
I'm working on a graphic illustration of a typical Ice Dam for my community newspaper; & in attempting to draw the snow areas on the roof, I seem to be getting too much smoothing out of the pencil tool.
I've tried adjusting the Fidelity & Smoothness in Pencil Tool Preferences...but the...
People
Well...this is weird.
I posted an inquiry in a digital recording forum; & wanted to provide a graphic representation of the problem (in the form of an electronic signal plotting.)
I found the plot (which is just a simple black & white graph type image) in the online brochure of the...
viol8ion,
Man...I just wish there was a DigiCam out there that offered a lossless format that was worthwhile; & movies with sound.
That's all I'm looking for . . . .TIFF or .RAW (not Canon .RAW, or Nikon .RAW...just .RAW); & simple 16fps MPEG movies w/ sound.
Isn't there anything out there...
People,
I am running Photoshop 6.0; & am about to purchase a Canon Powershot S45.
I'm told I need a plug-in in order to open .CRW (Canon's RAW Format) files.
Where is this available?
Thanks very much,
DesRev1
So guys...
Thanks for all the info. I design w/ multiple layers, so I'll have to realign everything further left.
What's a good all-around page pixel width to be safe? 660? 680? 700?
Also; does anyone know the default margin settings in IE6?
Thanks,
DesRev1
Gang,
Well...I may have screwed up. Just like everyone else who is conscientious about how their web pages print...after I installed IE6 & found that certain pages printed with their margins cut off on the right, I went into Page Setup & reduced the margins to their lowest default...
Cheech,
Thanks, man.
Once I looked at some of the guidelines from the tech note, it made me wonder...if you place elements in a fixed pixel sized table inside the layer (which was one of the suggestions for minimizing that issue), how does the layer react differently to a browser window...
Cheech,
No...DW automatically insterts it when layers are used. I opened up a basic html page, went to design view, inserted a layer; & this is the code:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01...
People,
The "function MM_reloadPage(init) { file://reloads the window if Nav4
resized" script included w/ the basic page layout in Dreamweaver MX...
...is that really necessary?
In viewing code around the web, I don't believe I have ever seen it (except
in the pages I have created...
People,
For my community's website, I designed a form in Dreamweaver MX on my PC at
work, which is running Windows 2000 Pro & Internet Explorer 5.00. Of
course, it looked great (the way I intended it to look) on my machine. But
just to be sure it looked correct (& was functional) on XP & IE...
People,
Can Illustrator convert a scanned drawing into a vector-based drawing, (i.e. create paths out of hand drawn linestrokes)?
Or, is there a plug-in which can accomplish this?
The reason I ask is; In my present position, in which I oversee architectural standards for a private...
