Dis you configure the slices as follows:
slice
0 / 500Mb - This is the root slice
1 swap xxxmb - Your swap file and should be 2xRAM
3 /usr 1200Mb
7 7Mb - Always hand for the disk mirroring later
the slice selected is important
I have had problems in the past with promulgating auto mount maps. I found that using 'automount' command on each of the currently active workstations loaded the new map (most of the time). I think the only sure way is to reboot each of the workstations to reload the new maps.
The simplest way to promulgate the account details is to copy 'files' from the server to the workstations. Copy from '/etc' 'passwd', 'groups' and 'shadow' files from the server. This should promulgate the account info, it is only three files so it does not take long. Alternatively set up...
