XP Pro - After Login There is Nothing!!!
I just had the same problems on a users laptop running XP. After logging on press CTL+ALT+DEl to access the task manager. From the Process tab, look for MSSYS.EXE and end this task. File access denied.
Did you burn your files to a cd? If so, then when you copy them back to the hard drive of the new machine you will have to remove the "Read Only" attribute. Right click on the file, then click properties and un-check the "Read Only" box. HTH- Katbird
