I've tried using repair disk created on a similar machine and it didn't work. However, with that said, give it a try, it's only a floppy disk and takes seconds to create.

Don't know if this will help but I've seen this happen when the CPU temperature "stop" setting in the Bios is set too low. Is your system running warm to hot? Make sure it can breathe (plenty of circulation) and bump the setting a few degrees to see if it stops re-rebooting.
