Isn't the mdac def boot string for the Mylex controller using the DAC960?

Have you tried physically removing the card, remove the card from netconfig and then re-link then reboot on a kernel that doesn't have a NIC configured and start fresh with the NIC install.
Ghosting seems to be a no-no with SCO, I've not come across a successful Ghost yet.
If you want a simple way to use ap to copy accounts from one server to the other, use ap -dgv > filename to output the accounts to filename, and then use ap -rvf < filename to re-create the accounts on the different server.

It's possibly due to Hyperthreading being enabled, if it is turn it off. Make sure all relevant patches are installed.
