    Success. Stinger was able to remove the Virus and ever since, everthing works fine. Now I got Anti Virus and firewall in place, and hopefully this system should run fine. Amazing is that I only accessed Yahoo/BT internet to download the software for internet access. This shouldn't happen...

    Thanks I thought it might be something on that line. Unfortunatly, it also killed my Internet connection, therefore, I propably have no other choice as to format the HDD and start from scratch. Thanks a lot for your help on this.

    What is the difference between Bytes Written and Bytes Read?

    Bytes written is obvious. That's how many bytes have been written onto the tape during the backup process. Bytes read, however, means that be is reading back the structure and catalog of the tape to find out if data is written correctly and how much space is left on the tape.
