Spend $ 6,000 or do it myself?
I did both, the self-study and took the formal cert classes. For 2k, I built a great lab from gear off ebay, and I went through the books doing the execises on the servers at home. F Connectors - What to get?
I agree with the above posts, Digicon or Thomas&Betts connectors, are the the best bet for what your installing. Like AvayaNovice said the T&B T1000 terminating tool is a complete tool for cutting and terminating a rg6 cable.
