Hello
I have merged numerous projects (each representing different streams of the same project) into a single project.
When all of the sub-projects are expanded, is it possible to get a view of the project which does not show the names of each of the sub-project.
I would like to produce a...
Hello PDQBach
I have tried this. However, when two projects are linked into a single new project, I am not able to link a task to a predecessor which is in another linked project.
i.e. if there are only 5 tasks in the first project linked (P1) and 3 tasks in the second project linked in (P2)...
To be able to produce a Gantt like chart, where tasks for the same stream can be laid out on the same line (assuming they're not in parallel).
This provides for a better view, particularly when plans are for an implementation over a weekend (i.e. a short period), and everyone needs to see the...

how can you open a powerpoint document and create boxes in it from ms project.

Plesae can anyone tell me what I need to set up MS project Web Access?
Do I have it if I have MS Project 2002 professional. If I only have MS project 2002 professional, can I take advantage of multiple project resources updating the status of the plan via MS Project Web Access?
Is it possible to give a task in plan a predecessor which is in another plan using MS Project 2002.
i.e. to split plans up into multiple plans, each concentrated on different streams.
Is it possible to implement Access Control Lists in MS Project.
To explain further : I would like to put as much information into the plan as possible, including comments. However, I do not necessarily want everyone to see all activities, maybe on the summary task is sufficient for some. Also...
Aye, you are right about fitness for purpose, however, this comes back to the other thread 'MS Projet 2002/2003' - can multiple update the plan at the same time (but not the same task).
I should have my evaluation version of MS Project 2003 in a couple of days.
I will then experiment with...
Does this mean that you can save a project in MS-Project and open it (read-write) multiple times simulateously in MS-Access and update the plan? Then open it again in MS-Project when all updates have been completed?
Please excuse this question if it seems too basic.
Does this mean that I can prepare the plan with resources, times and dependencies in Excel and then import the sheet into MS Project?
Then I could generate the GANTT and PERT diagrams from project to highlight the critical path etc.
It is a tool we have developed in-house. It uses Excel to for task entry alon with time, dependencies and area to which it pertains. The resulting graphical plan also shows the various streams in different colours.
Maybe there is something else you could help me with. I have read that MS...
Thanks - that kinda answers my questions - however, I can only think schade.
We have a tool already which display resulting plans with mutiple tasks on the same line (using dependencies). If numerous tasks have the same dependancy, then more than one line is used.
However, the tool we have is...
Hi PDQBach,
Thanks for your response - I guess what I'm really asking is, is it possible for two people or more to edit the same plan, but not update the same task at the same time, i.e. if one person is updating a task, then others are locked from updating that task!
I share your concerns...
Hello
I am investigating whether or not we should start using MS Project for our Transition Test/Implementation Planning.
Our main criteria for selecting the right product are :
1. Sharability of Plan Building : We need a tool which allows a team of planners to build the plan from their own...
