Difference between DMA 100 and 133 hard drives

Well! , if you use Raid 0=striped you can loose all your data also if you got an onboard raid controller that fails and you do not know how to move (and configure) your raid drives to another controller , but as a cheap solution for Video recording and editing a 2 drive raid 0 solution is OK and...

Please check how the IRQ handling of the "PNP - PCI" section of BIOS is set. I can't from the top of my head remember all the reserved IRQ numbers and their specific assignment but IRQ's 9 , 10 and 11 should usually be free for PNP . You might try to load BIOS default values first ...

Difference between DMA 100 and 133 hard drives

I can not tell you if the drive will run on your Motherboard controller with a capacity with more than 137 GB since I do not know the make and model (and even if you post it I can't guarantee I'll be back to read it). Your motherboard controller MIGHT be able to use the full capacity of drives...

fails win XP install with BSOD

Actually - when I saw SYAR2003's answer regarding the Controller BIOS update in connection with datacorruption I immediately thought SYAR2003 to be on the right track as this deals with "datacorruption" . But all the other's recommendation with respect to RAM and likewise my own...

    Disk Boot Failure

FDISK is not a tool to be toyed with. But in FDISK your partition must be set as ACTIVE or else you can not boot on it.... Also the drive you wish to boot on must contain the "system files". Regards
