Is there any way to prevent qmail (or Linux) from stripping carriage return from attachments. My company uses a lot of files that are dos base and it would be too much trouble to have users use programs like unix2dos. Is their a specific method or command that I can use to prevent this from...
I am looking for a solution that would allow our internal employees to run telnet sessions (or something similar) from a web browser. We are currently using terminal emulation software to connect to our HP-UX servers. However, our company would like to be able to run the terminal emulation...
I am having problems figuring out how to configure the firewall to be able to see multiple routers. On my firewall I have 3 nic cards: one to the external address, one to the DMZ subnet(192.168.100.0), and the other to the internal subnet (192.168.1.0). Our network is part of a WAN that...
Who created the calendar? Whoever created the calendar should log on to their Outlook, open up the Public folders and right click on top of the Calendar and select properties. Under the properties you should see a Permissions tab (if they are the owner) and you can modify permissions from...
Do you have a DNS server. You may want to create a CNAME of the old server and point it to the new server. This is just in case the clients are still looking for the old server. Also, if you have DNS setup make sure that you point the MX records to the new server.

Hey,
Goto Microsoft Knowledge Base and look up binding orders under Outlook. It requires some editing of the registry but it seems to work pretty well. We had a similar problem and it helped speed up the connection.

If it is a problem with the COM port, you can often go into the BIOS and disable the COM ports (serial ports) or switch them to another COM port (i.e, to COM3 and COM4).

Make sure that you look at the DHCP server and reserve the IP addresses that are being used for static IP's so it won't try to assign those addresses to other PCs.

For Windows 95/98, you cannot use a policy editor for NT. You must use a program that can create a policy for 95/98. Look up security policies on Microsoft knowledge base and you will be able to find the appropriate documentation to assist you.

Is this occuring with all Windows 95/98 users? What type of privileges do these people have? It could be that you have the administrative privileges set too high on the NETLOGON folder on the PDC. There was one time where I did not want anyone to be able to alter logon scripts and therefore...
Have you checked your licenses? I know that when you exceed the licenses for users on NT Server it prevents everyone, except administrators, from being able to log into the network. Sorry if this does not help.
