I can just restore from our tape this morning and try to repair that one using excel 2002. thoughts on doing that? Also, why does opening it with word damage the file?

Thanks so much for everyone's help! That is correct, but no cell references. You can't choose anything from the File, Edit, View, etc, areas except for new sheet and things like that, as if there is no book open. No option for print preview either. I can open it in word, looks like crap :)...

No, not really, due to the fact that the text box gets filled in by me. Meaning I manually calculate the numbers and then type them in the text box!

Unfortunately, what I have done in the past is create text boxes to fill in the 1 missing piece, at each pie. I hope someone else can give you a better answer! JenWest
