MassDeployer, you can run Global Subscriber Dump in the Tools Depot to find out who's mailbox 11803 is an alternate MWI extension on (that's the problem that it sounds like).
In Global Subscriber Dump, make sure you select Alias, First Name, Last Name, Primary Extension, Primary MWI, and All...
If you do another import of just users in BAT with your new list, any user with the same user ID will fail during the import (including passwords, I believe, but I'm not 100% sure about that). Any new user will be added. After you run BAT, it will tell you how many entries failed and why they...
Do you have Attendant Console or any other app that uses Cisco JTAPI? If so, you may either need to a) upgrade the Attendant Console version and/or b) upgrade the Cisco JTAPI plugin on whichever PC is running the application (not on the CCM server itself, unless you have the JTAPI plugin...
I used to be a Telecommunications Specialist at my last job...but that encompassed voip plus analog. Basically, if it ran over copper and/or you talked into it they threw it my way...
I was also in a union and was also the only person who did my job...I'll have to wait until I get home, but I...
I answered my own question, they are alarm message numbers:

Does anybody know how to read the debug display from the web on the IP phone (e.g. if you pull up the IP address of the phone in a web browser, go to Debug Display)? I'm trying to determine if the number after the time is a date, or if it's something else (and what it is, if it isn't a date) (I...
I generally follow the guideline, but the only time I didn't was when we had local PRI's on a 6608 in the same building as our publisher CCM...the recommendation is (or was) to register your ports to a local CCM if possible, so I did. We did have a higher CPU/memory usage, and sometimes during...
If your shared line is a secondary line on a phone, call forwarding that line from the phone is impossible, it cannot be done. The only way to forward that line is to do it either from the CCMAdmin or CCMUser web pages.

CIPT Backup and Restore was the version before BARS; it was used on 3.1 up to 3.3, I believe. BARS replaced it; the CD's may provide both if you're doing an upgrade.

The device that is playing that "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" sounds like the Annunciator that comes with CCM (you have version 4.X?). Do you know for certain that this message is coming from the PSTN?...it really sounds like it's coming from the Annunciator. To check that, place a...
As far as I know, the key mapping itself hasn't changed, but you can pick from a vast array of mapping templates...there used to be only two, Standard Conversation and Optional Conversation. The link you listed is for Optional Conversation, which I think is geared towards Octel key mapping (?)...
The VG200 with the VIC-2FXO will pass caller ID, but only if you're running H323. Granted, MGCP is easier to set up, but H323 allows for a bit more control, since alot more "stuff" is configured on the VG200. It will not pass caller id when you have it set up as MGCP (I found this out the hard...
NT accounts are optional; Exchange mailboxes are not. I believe the way to make the checkbox appear when adding a new subscriber (it says something like "Do not create NT account") is to turn it on in - I think - the Advanced Settings Tool in the Unity Toolbox.

Your gateway is running MGCP, so your call routing should be handled by the CCM server...can you post your dial peers/config here for your router? Maybe you have a dial peer interfering (guessing)?
So when an inbound call comes through your MGCP gateway to one of those analog phones, it...
I've seen people set the CCM up as DHCP (and there have been threads on here regarding that issue) so it can be done, but by Cisco's recommendations (on a full-scale network) you generally want your DHCP to run on a separate server. Setting up DHCP isn't that hard on a Windows server.
You have...
Anytime! I actually got thrown into my job at Niles, about six years ago...I have an Art degree, if that's any indication of how much knowledge I knew about phone systems back then. The learning process for me was definitely trial by fire. So I know what you're going through. :)

I suppose if the phone doesn't need to upgrade, there shouldn't be any reason for it to request the files, right?"
You are correct; if the phone image matches the image on the CCM TFTP server, it won't get upgraded. However, if the image on the phone is newer than the image on the TFTP server...
Since all our buildings are connected by high-speed links (fiber/DS3), we have one cluster over the WAN, with one CCM server at each location. One publisher CCM, two subscriber CCM's, and our publisher also is our TFTP server. Clustering over the WAN can be tricky, and it's only approved by...
Check for any dialing transformations/digit stripping on the route patterns the analog phones are dialing...and check for transformations/digit stripping on the gateways and route groups also...it's a place to start, anyways...
